What You Want to See from Me in 2020

Recently I asked my newsletter what they wanted to see from me in 2020 and y’all delivered! I don’t want my blog to be a one-way conversation and I definitely want everyone to know I’m listening, so this post is a response to those comments. And again, thank you for the input!

Here are your responses to the question: What else would you like to see from me?

More advice how to stay on track, it’s hard to stay focused.
I get this! It’s hard for me too, but I don’t think that’s my forte or what I want to write about. My friend, Sarah from Yes and Yes is an expert in habits though and I’d recommend her to everyone.

I’m new to your site and we will be learning to live minimally as we are retired and selling our 4700 sq ft home and will live in a 33’ trailer until our new 2100 sq ft home is completed! Looking forward to more helpful hints on growing minimally.
Welcome! I think that’s what my blog is about. You might also enjoy my e-book about living in an RV. I’m currently revamping it, but I’ll let y’all know when it’s back in action.

Psychological impact of living in a box… why you gave up RV as lifestyle-a warning, rather than on to other rose petal bushes in life, etc.
I personally didn’t have bad experience. Living in an RV wasn’t always easy, but my overall experience was positive. Here’s a post on “why” we gave up RV living.

I’m super interested in the sustainability aspect.
I got this a lot and “sustainability” is something I explored all last year. I’m excited to share more about what I learned on the blog soon.

More personal life and home styling
It’s flattering that you’re interested in me as a person! I share a lot of personal stuff on my Instagram stories. I just don’t think the blog-format is the place for that anymore.

I like your posts on being thrifty, maybe more on that. I’m also working on quality over quantity!
I do love to be thrifty! I’ll have to think about the ways I can share my gift. 😉

Design ideas for small spaces on a budget
That’s pretty much the mission of my blog, but I get ya! I’ll try to make it more obvious.

More frequent content
This is a difficult one because at the moment, I don’t make much money from blogging. It actually takes money to run this blog. If you want to support me so I can make more content, there’s several ways to do that: You can hire me to be your coach, buy my e-course or just buy me a coffee!

I also post a lot more on Instagram these days because of the ease-of-use. I’d encourage you to follow me there!

DIYs
I can’t promise a lot of these. I found that in the last few years creating DIYs for the blog was getting in the way of actually getting the actual work done.

I’m interested in seeing different kinds of minimalism (and how to make it your own).
I’m actually working on some fun content now that will go into the different types of minimalism.

What essentials that you need for clothes
This is a hard one for me because I’m not that into clothing. Have you heard of Project 333? You might be into capsule wardrobes.

Cooking! Crafts
I might throw a random recipe on here once in a while, but cooking is not something I really want to explore on the blog. There’s so many good cooking blogs out there though! Joy the Baker is my favorite.

Article on letting go of things from ancestors that are departed, things they made, heirlooms. If I had a family member who would take them, I’d be good with that, but when no one wants them……..? I can’t just send them to the Goodwill.
In my new course, I dedicate a day to this. I’d also recommend checking out my post about “Where to donate your stuff after you’ve tidied up.

Befores and afters of everything! Love them!!
They are coming at you soon! I have a lot to publish, it’s just taken me quite a while to take and edit the photos.

Continued support and encouragement for those of modest income who most need their creativity encouraged, but are often left behind on most blogs which are increasingly marketing venues.
I feel ya. I definitely want to continue to look out for us on a “modest income.” That being said, I do occasionally need to post sponsored content to keep this blog running. I never post something I don’t enjoy, but I do understand the need for #sponcon.

Thrifty ways to make house feel fancy—like the patio! Made me so happy and feel blessed to make the little fire pit & be able to share our patio with friends!
That makes me so happy! And yes, thrift is my middle name. Always and forever.

Thanks so much for your input, folks! I definitely feel excited for the new year and how I can help YOU!
