I’m no expert and I still have a lot to learn. I used one skein of yarn (111 yards) in Yarn Bee’s “super bulky” eggnog color yarn. I cast on for 55 stitches using size 13 needles. I then just knitted using a basic stitch until almost all the yarn was gone. Then I finished it up using this technique. Finally, I added a button and a loop to close the cape.
I’m so proud of how it turned out. I can’t wait to see pictures of my niece wearing it this winter. She’s a cutie.
Do you all knit? I want to see your projects in the comments!
love,
melanie
Looks lovely! I knit (as you probably already know!) I put most of my project on my blog. I’ve found Ravelry.com really useful as a beginner knitter. (I still class myself as a beginner even though I’ve been knitting for 2 or 3 years now.
Lilian, you are much more talented than me! I admire your knitting and thanks for the website recommendation. I’m really trying to learn more and get better at it!
I am trying to find pictures of Airstreams, particularly the inside pics. I lived on one when I was young and it was a memorable time in my life.
Ann, I’ve yet to post pictures of the inside of our Airstream. It isn’t quite perfect and I am a perfectionist! I don’t know what Airstream model you are looking for, but there are quite a bit of pictures online. Pinterest is a great place to look!
This is precious! I know it will be cherished forever!
Thanks, Monique! I hope so!
