We have bought a 31’Airstream Excella 1984 original mostly inside….so dark. We love what you 2 have done with white paint and renovations. We will be on about a 1/2 acre of land that previously had a double wide. There is electricity and city water to the space and there is a septic tank. I really want a regular toilet…..yours looks like a “normal” one. My husband wants to know if, indeed, you were able to install just a regular Lowe’s toilet & whether you had to take off the black holding tank? We own this land & the trailer will be stationary.
    Please respond. Thanks…Suzanne

Hi Donna, sorry to hear about your trouble. I live on the other side of the country, but I’d definitely be searching online with a term like “RV parks Los Angeles” or “RV parks Orange county California.” If that didn’t work and it was legal in my area, I’d take to Craigslist to see if anyone had a backyard I could park in. Good luck with your search!

Hey. I think you guys are great! I am seriously considering changing my roommate-life to RV-life as my roommate is getting married soon. And I’m pumped! To keep a long story short, I am a25-yr old single woman (+ a pup) and have the means to acquire an RV andi want to do it. When else in my life will I be this unattached?? But I’m already realizing that this will come with it’s fair share of scrutiny and remarks (+ I live in the South. Southern people love to share their opinions :)) but reading your blog was the encouragement that I need – it’s about so much more than needing a place to live. It’s about a lifestyle of gratitude and simplicity. And I needed that reminder. And I believe in affirming people who I believe are kicking ass at life. So go you guys! Lol good luck with the adventure!
