Good Things

If I’m being honest, I haven’t wanted to post anything lately. I’ve felt straight-up ill about the things that are happening in America right now and writing about home renovations seems small and unimportant. But I’m getting out of my funk now and you know what is helping? Doing things. I donated to my sister’s classroom today because knowledge truly is power. If you want to donate too, you can do that here.

I’ve also been thinking about good things in life. There still are good things, like…

  • $1.99 Gladiolus at Trader Joe’s.
  • The hour when all the dishes in my house are clean.
  • Homegrown tomatoes on the window sill.
  • Nights that are cool enough to drink hot tea again. (This is my favorite.)
  • Watching Anne with an E on Netflix.
  • Camping this weekend.

Please tell me some good things that are happening in your life. I need to hear it.

love, love, freakin’ love,
Melanie

Chilly morning walks with my dog, and a cup of hot black gunpowder tea. I officially go through the final step of my conversion to Judaism tomorrow. A note from my doctor with fabulous news about my health. An invitation to have a girls night enjoying beer and ballet. Manuka honey. Naps.

The events happening lately are terrible. Yet there are still good people in the world. You’re one of them. Spread your kind heart and love around to others and one tiny part of the world will see some good. 💓

I feel ill, too, and not to lay a guilt trip on you, but that you said you felt this way AND gave me a beautiful picture and words to ponder helped me out 🙂 Thank you!

Checking in late here..that picture is SO beautiful Melanie. you are doing fantanstic work.
I’m somewhat in the dark too, but I have constant light from the baby kicking in my belly, the cat, the ducks, and my incredible loving husband..I also enjoy the first cups of tea (roiboosh with oat milk, or my home made herbal uterus-mix), homegrown tomatoes and the first apples.
