Link Love: 50

Link Love Link Love is 50! 50 posts old! I hope you read that as Sally O’Malley. There’s some good stuff out there and I’m bringing it!

Our story was featured on a French site this week! (If you don’t speak French, you can translate it with Google Chrome.)

Did you know the CEO of Zappos lives in an Airstream in a trailer park?! Great minds think alike, folks.

How hard are you trying, really. I love this one. Sometimes I am truly trying hard, but there’s other times where I just tell myself I’m trying hard. Ooops.

This guy lives in a “teeny” house in the city with no bills, no debt and no waste. I can’t help but think it’d be easier to do in sunny, mild San Diego, but it’s definitively admirable and aspirational.

    Good morning Melanie;

    I am moving soon; not sure where yet; I just got an offer from the US Govt to work as a TSO; Transporation Security Officer; but not sure where or which airport I will be going too. I have thought about getting an Airstream; but I think of the expense of also renting a place to park it; which may turn out to be about the same as renting an apartment. Is their a guide that tells you state by state; where you can park these airstreams; prices; etc…… I have a dog. I am currently in Lawrence Kansas renting an apartment.

      Congrats on the job! With some Googling I found this:

      Their advice was not an RV park but a mobile home park. This is a website for mobile home parks in the US:

      You could also try putting an ad on Craigslist to park on someone’s land. If you end up in a less expensive area, you could also buy some land yourself. If the land already has power, a septic system and a well, even better! I know close to my area you can buy a small plot of land with utilities for about $300 a month.

      Hope that helps.
