Lately I’ve had a hard time keeping up with this blog. I love it, but sometimes it can be a real slog. I have a full-time job and a life. I see very little income from this endeavor and it’s easy to give up on it. No one is holding me accountable. It’s just me here. Negative thoughts can get to me from time to time, but I know that it would be a mistake to give up. My goal will always be to share my story of living small in order to help others do the same. It won’t change and I won’t stop trying.

I know the feeling … and I kick myself for not commenting or “liking” your posts. I read them all except any link fests (I’m weird, I don’t like those things and delete any I see from any blog). I’ve even recommended your blog to folks. So, be encouraged and don’t be afraid to take breaks!

I have thought about buying a Airstream; but I don’t know where I would park it; I think some of these places are very expensive; may be cheaper to rent an apartment..
Possibly. But you could also look into alternatives like buying your own land. If it already has septic and power, you’re golden. You could also see if someone with farmland (with septic and power) would rent to you. An acre of land, at least where I live, even with septic and power, is not very expensive.

Hey Melanie, just wanted to send you some encouragement to keep going with the blog. My husband and I are planning our tiny adventure and I love hearing about other couple’s and families’ tiny experience! I think there’s a need to show every day living in a tiny space and would personally love to hear about how you downsized, what your essentials are and nerdy organizing tips (but that’s just me!) Keep going and do it because you enjoy it!

I think it’s normal to lose your mojo some times. I’ts a lot of work.
How is your garden doing? The only things I planted (climbing zucchini) this year don’t look good. I feel like I failed, but I should go out to water them and talk to them instead.

My garden is doing ok. My squash is coming in nicely and the tomatoes aren’t bad, although, I’m afraid they might be getting a little bit of blight. Nothing else (potatoes, carrots, peppers) is ready yet. I’m just hoping they will be ok too. My zucchini didn’t come in at all! I think it got washed away. We’ve been having so much rain.
