It’s been a little slow around these parts. We’ve been sleeping in and drinking lots of coffee and playing with Bambi. She got a squeaky, toy pig for Christmas and he has become her new arch enemy.

As the year comes to a close, I’m making so many goals, but I also want to take a look back at the past year. It’s been a good one, but a challenging one. Let’s take a walk down memory lane, shall we?

We were featured on Apartment Therapy: a dream come true!

We gave a tour of our Airstream home! (Exterior and Interior)

The before and after of our Airstream is insane, if I do say so myself.

I started a new series: The Small Life where I feature other people living small. (I’m always taking submissions if you are interested email me: asmalllifemelanie at gmail dot com)

We got a dog! (We love her a stupid amount!)

We took family photos!

I started and successfully gardened a garden!

I had 2 jobs (plus this blog!). It was kind of insane.

I got my eyes fixed!

We went on a road trip!

And we went to Memphis!

I gave a speech at my alma matter and told the graduates what I wish someone had told me.

I started guest posting over at And Then We Saved and started a “spending diet.”

We made a lot of food and made a lot of crafts and talked a lot about money.

It hasn’t always been easy or fun. There’s been mishaps with the Airstream and there’s been many a time where I’ve questioned my own sanity. (I take on way too many projects!) But it’s been a year of growth. And growth is good.
